Drake lançou a terceira parcela de sua série EP, Horas assustadorasna sexta-feira, e deixou uma mensagem surpresa em “Red Button” em ode a Taylor Swift.
“Taylor Swift é o único n–– que eu já avaliei / O único que poderia me fazer abandonar o álbum um pouco mais tarde” fez um rap do artista na primeira faixa do disco dois, seguindo a frase: “O resto de vocês, eu trato você vai gostar de nunca ter conseguido / Deixar sua gravadora arrasada / Mesmo quando você preenche as estatísticas, ponto final, eu nunca odiei.
Em outra parte da música, Drake fala sobre Kanye: “Cada vez que Yeezy pede a trégua/Ele estava com minha cabeça inflada/Pensando que finalmente vamos conseguir acalmar as coisas e começar a levitar/Percebi que tudo foi premeditado”.
A dupla já enfrentou brigas com Kanye no passado. Em uma entrevista de 2019 com abordou o infame fiasco do VMA e sua polêmica faixa de 2016, “Famous”, que mostra West cantando “Eu sinto que eu e Taylor ainda podemos fazer sexo”.
“[When I heard the song, I was like, ‘I’m done with this. If you want to be on bad terms, let’s be on bad terms, but just be real about it,’ Swift told . “And then he literally did the same thing to Drake. He gravely affected the trajectory of Drake’s family and their lives. It’s the same thing. Getting close to you, earning your trust, detonating you.”
Drake first released his Scary Hours in 2018, with the two-track EP featuring “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity,” while the three-song Scary Hours 2 arrived in 2021.
“I’ll say this to you I’m not… I feel no need to appease anybody,” Drake said in an Instagram video prior to Scary Hours‘ Friday release. “I feel so confident about the body of work I just dropped that I know I can go and disappear for whatever… six months, a year… two years.”
